What are the groups and what functions do they serve?

The groups are made up of the freaks, who do whatever I guess; the bullies, who let out their insecurities on the geeks, who are punching bags for the bullies. There were also nerds, who were like the wise men of the school.

Who has the power in the episode? How or why do they have power? How do they use it?

            The bullies have the power over the geeks, and the counselor has the power over Linsey. The bullies are bigger and the counselor is an adult. And the bullies beat up the geeks and the counselor tries to make Linsey happy.

What are the important symbols in the episode? How do the characters act based on the symbols they find important?

            The jacket that Linsey wore, she acts different because her grandma is dead.

Can you relate any of these theories to your own life? How can the things you do be interpreted through one of these theories?

            Conflict theory relates to my life because I have to write a 6 page essay in Mrs. Kruger’s class, and it messed up the functionalism in my life. Now I have to write an essay instead of other stuff I’d rather do.
